The National 863 Project in Which Beijing Jiada Signal Was Involved Passed the Receiving Inspection

On Aug. 29th, the National 863 Project for the 11th 5-year plan period, which concentrated on the key technology and the equipment of high speed detection train with a maximum speed of 400 km/h, passed the receiving inspection. The subproject for signal detection system that our Company was involved went into the phase of deeper research and innovation, resulting in the various solutions to the key technical problems.
      
This project was mainly to explore the balise detection technology at the train speed of 400km/h. The team from our Company has independently made great achievements in the R&D and innovations under the Project.

The achievements of the Project have significant impacts on the research and development of the relevant subjects. The project team probed deeply in the balise and track circuit monitoring technologies for high-speed EMU on the basis of prior Guangzhou Railway project; gave the solutions to such issues as complete signal acquisition, storage and processing in complex electromagnetic environments; put forward the methods for evaluating the working state of balise and track circuit on high speed EMUs; and wrote and published several articles in this regard. These results have formed a theoretical foundation and have provided empirical support for railway equipment monitoring technologies and fault diagnosis technologies in the future. The large amount of data accumulated will be of important significance for the safety analysis and availability evaluation of high speed railways.

The balise detection system, of which Beijing Jiaoda Signal Technology Co., Ltd. took part in the development, has been put into pilot operation on Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. The equipment has been tested for many times on the pilot section of Beijing-Shanghai high speed railway, and the test data suggests that the system works well at the speed of 400km/h. During the pilot operation, the team has made continuous improvements of the system based on the actual operating situations. Great efforts have also been made to apply the system to detections on the other lines, to improve the work efficiency, reduce the work load, and raise the safety and efficiency of railway transportation.

 Based on this Project, a R&D team has been cultivated to concentrate on the fault diagnoses and detections of high speed railway signal system. Researchers in the team have published papers and reports at high level international conferences and have accumulated rich experiences in the relevant theoretical research and field testing. A studying and cooperating atmosphere has been formed, laying a solid foundation for application for the subsequent researches. While conducting the research independently, the research team has borrowed the leading experiences from foreign countries and established academic relationships with foreign experts.
